Football 101

Thank you for your interest in Football 101. The 2008 Football 101 event will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008. Details on this year's event will be posted as they become available.

The Green Bay Packers again hosted the popular 'Football 101, An NFL Workshop for Women' on November 17, 2007.

An interactive and entertaining event geared for women to learn the basics of football, 'Football 101' took place on the Associated Bank Club Level at the Lambeau Field Atrium and in the Don Hutson Center.

The day's activities included a welcome reception, a general lecture about football, an equipment demonstration, a question-and-answer session with Packers players and their wives or significant others, and drills with Packers players at the Don Hutson Center.

A portion of the proceeds from 'Football 101' benefited the Packers Women's Association (PWA), a non-profit organization whose main focus is "teaming up with the community." PWA has determined the proceeds will be used to send care packages to soldiers in Iraq. Representatives from PWA included Megan (wife of Daryn Colledge), Tamika (significant other of James Jones) and Geeta (significant other of Desmond Bishop). On behalf of PWA, Packers players Daryn Colledge, James Jones, Desmond Bishop, Carlyle Holiday, Ryan Grant and Noah Herron made appearances throughout the day.

The Green Bay Packers and PWA thanks the women who attended for supporting its cause and hope to see everyone at next year's event.
