Green Bay vs. Miami - Postgame Quotes - Green Bay

Regular Season - Packers Win 23-18

HEAD COACH MIKE HOLMGREN:
(on the injury to Gilbert Brown) "Gilbert Brown strained his knee, but it doesn't appear to be ligaments. Not to make light of this, but his leg is so big that we're having a little trouble with the diagnosis. But I think he'll be okay."

(on the play of Dorsey Levens) "Dorsey is a good football player, and if we block for him he's a good runner."

(on the return of Mark Chmura) "I think it was a big boost. Mark is a very popular player and one of our leaders. I think he played very well and he got through the game fine."

(on the play of William Henderson) "William is a little bit of a forgotten man in our passing attack by our opponents. There are times when we know he should be open. Today he made a couple of big plays."

(on settling for field goals in the red zone) "As long as Ryan (Longwell) keeps making them, that's fine. Today we were misfiring, but we'll get better. Judge us at the end of the season."

(on whether the turf was causing players to slip) "That's a good question. I believe it takes a year to develop the root system. It was a little moist for our walk-through yesterday."

QUARTERBACK BRETT FAVRE:
(on the return of Mark Chmura) "Mark played well. We feel a lot more comfortable with our two-tight end sets. It was great to have Mark and Jeff (Thomason) pretty much healthy today."

(on the pressure of having to defend a Super Bowl title) "Today towards the end of the game, I was telling myself that it's going to be this way every week. People are asking why we're not blowing teams out like we did early last year, but that stuff is over with. Beating the Packers gives you a chance to boast, to stick out your chest. We're not going to sneak up on anybody."

(on Miami blitzing) "They didn't blitz as much as Philadelphia did, but I think they blitzed more than they usually do. I thought we did very well against it."

LINEBACKER BRIAN WILLIAMS:
(on stuffing the Miami running game) "We practiced against their run all week. They had one big play, but I think we did pretty well."

(on losing Gilbert Brown and LeRoy Butler during the game) "It's hard to lose guys with talent like Gilbert and LeRoy, but the guys behind him just have to step up. Injuries sometimes happen and we have good guys behind them."

TIGHT END MARK CHMURA:
(on coming back so soon) "I really don't think the Dolphins thought I was going to play. But I wouldn't put myself in that situation if I didn't think I could handle it. I felt fine out there."

(on his mobility with the knee brace) "I don't think I'm as quick as I normally am because the brace doesn't allow the knee to turn."

KICKER RYAN LONGWELL:
(on whether he was anxious to play today after last week) "I was just happy to get out there for the pregame warmup. Once I hit a few in pregame, I felt okay. And the fans treated me well."

RUNNING BACK DORSEY LEVENS:
(on his first career 100-yard game) "It feels good. It gives you confidence going into the rest of the season. All the credit goes to the offensive line."

(on the offensive improvement in the second half) "The offensive line blocked a little bit better in the second half. That's been the story of our offense so far this year -- we pick it up in the second half."

(on the return of Mark Chmura) "You get comfortable when you see guys you're used to seeing in the huddle. Mark is a great blocking tight end and he'll make some key catches."
