Dorsey Levens caught 9 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs. He found the going a little more difficult on the ground, rushing for only 4 yards on 10 carries.

The Green Bay Packers playoff hopes were dealt a serious blow when they were defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-10 at Raymond James Stadium. While still mathematically alive for a playoff spot, the Packers will need some help in reaching the post-season for the seventh consecutive season.

Turnovers again were the key to the game, with the Buccaneers converting 4 Packers give-aways into 20 points.

The Packers weren't able to get into an offensive rhythm for most of the afternoon. The vaunted Bucs defense held the Packers to 243 total yards - 12 rushing and 231 receiving.

Tampa Bay got on the board first, taking advantage of a Dorsey Levens fumble on the Packers second play of the day from scrimmage and turning it into three points courtesy of a 49-yard Martin Gramatica field goal.

After Green Bay's second drive of the day stalled, Tampa marched 70 yards in 15 plays, but only came away with 3 points on a 28-yard Martin Gramatica field goal. The Packers had stopped the Bucs on 3rd down at the GB 40, but Tampa punter Mark Royals passed to Damien Robinson for 17 yards on the fake punt to keep the Bucs' drive alive.

Gramatica tacked on his third field goal of the first half midway through the second quarter to extend the Floridian's lead to 9-0. The score was set up by another Packers turnover when Damien Robinson intercepted a Brett Favre pass intended for Charles Jordan at the Packers' 37-yard line.

The Packers finally got on the board with 2:05 left in the first half when Ryan Longwell booted a 46-yard field goal. The 8 play, 43-yard drive was highlighted by a 27-yard Favre pass to Corey Bradford.

Favre then drove the Packers 55 yards in under 2 minutes after Tyrone Williams had given the Green and Gold the ball by intercepting Bucs QB Shaun King at the GB 34 and returning it 11 yards to the GB 45. Dorsey Levens took a Brett Favre screen pass 20-yards down the left sideline for the touchdown, hoping over defenders in the process. Longwell's PAT gave the Packers their first lead of the day with :21 seconds left in the first half.

Tampa tallied the only points of the third quarter thanks to another Packers turnover in Bucs territory. King drove the Buccaneers 23 yards in 5 plays after a Bill Schroeder fumble, hooking up with running back Warrick Dunn on a 7-yard pass across the middle to put the Bucs up 16-10.

Following a three-and-out by the Packers, King led Tampa on a 7 minute 05 second, 13-play scoring drive capped by Mike Alstott's 5 yard touchdown run off the right side.

Mike Alsott, who ran for 79 yards on the day, finished off the Buccanners scoring with a 17-yard touchdown run with 4:41 left in the game. Alstott's score was set up by Damien Robinson's 35-yard interception return. It was Robinson's second pick of Favre on the afternoon.

The Packers return to action next Sunday in the regular season finale against the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field.

Playoffs Scenario:
The Packers have to beat the Cardinals and...

1. The Giants beat the Cowboys and Panthers beat the Saints. (The Panthers must not beat the Saints by 19 more points than the Packers beat the Cardinals. See note below.) or...
