GREEN BAY PACKERS POST-GAME NOTES:
AHMAN GREEN:
-On the first play of the second quarter, registered his 50th rushing TD in a Packers uniform and tied No. 2 Paul Hornung (1957-62, 63-66) on the team's all-time list. Green took sole possession of second place with a 4-yard TD run later in the same period, marking his first multiple-TD game since Oct. 31, 2004, at Washington, where he also had two. Hall of Famer Jim Taylor (1958-66) holds the team record with 81.
-Today was the 14th time in his career in which he scored at least a pair of rushing TDs, including his career-best, three, vs. Washington, Oct. 20, 2002.
BRETT FAVRE:
-Battled for his first rushing touchdown since Dec. 3, 2001, at Jacksonville. He now has 13 career, but just two over the past eight seasons.
-In the fourth quarter, became only the second player in league annals to throw for 25,000 yards in a single stadium. He now has 25,019 at Lambeau Field. John Elway (27,889) holds the NFL record, during his career at Mile High Stadium.
-Now has thrown 106 passes since his last interception, the final play of the third quarter at Philadelphia (Oct. 2). The last time he went three consecutive games without a pick was Oct. 7-20, 2002.
DAVE RAYNER:
-Posted his ninth touchback this season. Rayner entered today tied for third in the NFL with eight touchbacks. Most touchbacks by a Packers kicker in a single season, since 1991:
15 - Chris Jacke, 1991
11 - Ryan Longwell, 1997
9 - Craig Hentrich, 1995
Dave Rayner, 2006
7 - Chris Jacke, 1993
Ryan Longwell, 1998
OTHER POSTGAME NOTES:
-For the first time since the "Snow Bowl," Dec. 1, 1985, vs. Tampa Bay, two Packers players topped 100 yards rushing. Vernand Morency (101 yards) and Ahman Green (106) became the first pair of 100-yard rushers since Gerry Ellis (101) and Eddie Lee Ivery (109) 21 years ago.
-The Packers strung together wins for the first time since the final two games of the 2004 season, at Minnesota (Dec. 24, 2004) and at Chicago (Jan. 2, 2005).
-Donald Driver caught a pass in his 71st consecutive game, extending the franchise's second-longest streak behind Sterling Sharpe (103, 1988-94).
-Vernand Morency's 36-yard run that helped set up a second-quarter TD marked the longest run of his career. His previous long, a 25-yard touchdown with the Houston Texans, also came vs. Arizona, Dec. 18, 2005, at Reliant Stadium. The running back went on to post his first 100-yard rushing effort.
-Aaron Kampman, who entered the day tied for third in the NFL with 61/2 sacks, already has established his career high in sacks. With two today, he now has 81/2, surpassing the 61/2 he had in 2005. Today marked the third time in his career he had at least two.
-The Packers had three rushing TDs, their most since they also had three vs. Seattle, Oct. 5, 2003.
-On their opening drive of the second half this season, the Packers today scored a TD for the third time. They also scored a touchdown on their first march after halftime in each of their previous two wins - last week at Miami, and at Detroit (Sept. 24).
-Green Bay played a turnover-free game for the first time since Oct. 23, 2005, at Minnesota, a 23-20 loss to the Vikings.
-Today's paid attendance was 70,809, the second-largest crowd in Lambeau Field history, behind the 2006 season opener vs. Chicago (Sept. 10), when the stadium drew 70,918.
-The Cardinals won the coin toss and elected to receive.
-Weather at kickoff: sunny, 47 degrees.

GREEN BAY PACKERS POST-GAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH MIKE MCCARTHY
(on taking advantage of playing at Lambeau Field) "You have to win at home. We have a great home field advantage. We talked about it as a team last night in our final meeting, and we need to take advantage of it."
(on success of running game today) "When you're running the ball well, you're able to keep the defense in a 50/50 mindset, (and) it definitely plays to your advantage. We refer to it all the time - playing downhill - I thought we played downhill all day today, and that's the way we want to play."
(on whether Ahman Green has returned to his old form after injuries) "I think it's safe to say he's back. He runs the ball as physical as anyone I've been around. That's what we talk about - one cut as a ball carrier. There was a couple times where he almost got around the edge. It would have been nice to see him get into the open field."
(on the strong play by offensive line) "I thought our offensive line was excellent. The thing I saw was just a surge off the line of scrimmage play after play after play. Running the football is about attitude. I think we played with attitude today, and that's what we need to carry over. I'll tell you what, if you run with attitude every day, you're going to run the ball well."
(on the strength - or lack thereof - of defeated opponents) "Winning in the NFL is winning. I'll never apologize for a victory over anyone. If you ask New Orleans or St. Louis, they won't apologize for their victories here at Lambeau."
QUARTERBACK BRETT FAVRE
(on atmosphere of playing at Lambeau Field) "We have a lot of young guys, and if they couldn't feel the atmosphere today, they never will."
(on his Lambeau Leap) "I don't think I've ever done one. I hope that's the last one. Donald (Driver) provoked me. I was coming off of the field and he kind of gave me one of those (pointing to the stands). I wish he would have gave me a boost. I should have found a lower spot. I'm not to savvy in the stands-jumping department. Not to mention, I was pooped out. There was a lot of negatives."
(on team's contrast of youth and veterans) "From start to finish, we're a young team. I think the good is that guys are resilient. You go out and you play hard, regardless. A lot of guys are fighting for jobs and trying to establish themselves. Whereas, when you deal with an older team that's struggling, it's easy for them to pack it in. The few veterans we do have on this team are hard workers, (and) they give it everything that they've got. They handle adversity well."
(on success of running game and not throwing as much as earlier in the year) "It's fun throwing touchdown passes, and it's fun throwing for a lot of yards, but there's no substitute for winning. I love to compete, and whatever it takes to win, I'll do ... You don't have to throw for 300 (yards) to win, but if you throw for 180 (yards), you better be able to run for something. I think that was the case today."
(on whether or not he feels refreshed due to winning) "Yes and no. I didn't really get hit (today), I don't think. Now mentally, I feel great. You have to kind of fight the demons at times. Winning sure solves a lot of problems."
RUNNING BACK VERNAND MORENCY:
(on general) "Our line did an outstanding job. Our play-calling was excellent. Brett did an outstanding job, giving us some great plays. Our receivers even made some outstanding blocks downfield, so the running game could just explode."
(on feeling more comfortable with the Packers): "Everyday I go out to practice, learning the scheme, learning what the coaches want, just going out there and giving it my all."
(on recording his first 100-yard game): "I need to pay homage to our offensive line and the savviness of Brett, in getting us out of bad plays and putting us in the right plays."
RUNNING BACK AHMAN GREEN:
(on getting the season's first win at home) "It was a good day out there. The guys up front were hitting their blocks. Once you start to wear down a defense, the holes are just there. Vernand (Morency) and I could just pick and choose. We just hit it hard and that was it."
(on two 100-yard rushers) "It was great, because it reminds me of the days I was at Nebraska. We'd get three or four running backs over 100, but in the NFL to do that, it's great."
(on whether he's becoming more comfortable with the blocking scheme or the system is working better) "It's a little bit of both. I'm getting more comfortable with them, my body is getting adjusted now, getting back out there. I'm getting hit around and building up my endurance for everything. Once we get into the stretch run toward the end of the season, they're going to need me, my team is going to need me and everybody else offensively. When we get the running game going here, it's something dangerous with a quarterback like Brett. They have to adjust for everybody. They have to prepare for both of us."
LINEBACKER NICK BARNETT:
(on getting the first win at home) "It feels excellent. To come in here and get a win, we haven't been too good at home lately and finally to be able to give our fans a win, it feels good for ourselves, too. Getting two wins in a row, we're starting to get this thing turned around. It's just a great win for us today, great day."
(on both the offense and defense setting the tone early) "It was huge. We played good defense because the offense was able to control the ball. Then when we got out there, we made big plays and were able to get off the field quickly. We just played with each other."
DEFENSIVE END AARON KAMPMAN:
(on getting the first home win) "It's a big thing we've been talking about focusing on. I'm just so happy for everyone involved, it's been awhile since we've had a game like this, controlled it pretty much from start to finish. It's a great win for us."
(on being able to take control of the game in all facets right from the start) "With a team in this situation, to come after them right away, we tried to take the momentum. Then you just go from there and that was huge."
OFFENSIVE TACKLE CHAD CLIFTON:
(on continuing to improve) "We've by no means arrived. But we're making strides in the right direction. We realize that each week we need to go out there and improve and continue to get better."
(on how it feels to see the run scheme come together) "It feels great. I think we had two running backs today over 100 yards. That's pretty big time right there. I don't think we've done that around here for, someone said 21 years. Had a good day today, I'm sure we'll be able to go back and look at film and find some things that we could have done better. That's what it's all about. We just have to continue to improve weekly."

ARIZONA CARDINALS POST-GAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH DENNY GREEN:
(on the run defense) "They have a good rushing attack, but we clearly thought that we could play better run defense than we did. You have to be able to stop the run and we weren't able to do that."
(on trying to come back from 21-0) "We had a nice drive and scored seven points. The key then would be to come out in the second half and score. We didn't stop them, but we did score the next time. There was an opportunity to make a run for them in the middle of the third quarter, but we didn't do it."
(on the performance of his offensive line) "It is hard to say. We changed the offensive line on Wednesday, so the guys that we went with had a chance to work all week. We did some better as far as running the football a little bit. I don't think we had enough opportunities to run the football."
QUARTERBACK MATT LEINART:
(on the early dropped passes) "We were kind of out of sync. I was kind of out of rhythm in the first quarter and then we put a few drives together. But it was tough because we couldn't get in a rhythm all day."
(on being a rookie on a losing team) "It is hard. To be in your first year and to go through this, it's not easy. It is my job to keep this team up and keep going and fighting. We just need to keep playing. We can't get down, and that starts with me."
(on playing against Brett Favre) "Favre is obviously one of the best to ever play. He has been around this game for a long time. He is a great player. He is getting up there, but he can still play. He showed that today. He was one of my favorite players growing up. It was fun to watch him, but at the same time I would have loved to beat him."
SAFETY ROBERT GRIFFITH:
(on using the bye week to regroup) "Everybody has to get away, get recharged, and come back. We will have eight games left, so we are only half way. When we get back, we will just have to really grind it out. We are fighting for five hundred now. We have an opportunity to really get on a roll starting with Dallas and the next game is the only thing we have to look forward to."
(on the defense's inability to force turnovers today) "When you are able to run the ball, turnovers come when you get sacks, cause fumbles, and get interceptions. Green Bay's backs ran really hard today, they covered the ball up really well and they were really successful in the run game today."
