- Honored his committment to Portland State after spending two years in junior college despite interest from Pacific-10 schools
- A junior college teammate of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the duo connected on 15 passes for 150 yards and one TD in 2002
- Played in all four Green Bay preseason games but waived in the final roster reduction (Sept. 1)
- Signed with Washington two days later, waived again, signed to the Redskins' practice squad and then signed by Packers to active roster on Sept. 24

- At Minnesota (Sept. 30), saw his first action of the season, playing on special teams
