- A four-time letterwinner who started his collegiate career at Notre Dame before transferring and playing his final two seasons at Delaware
- Continued his consistent play in his second season for the Blue Hens in 2008, starting 10 of 11 games and registering 46 tackles, eight of them for loss, and finishing second on the team with 3½ sacks
- Was named a Colonial Athletic Association Academic All-Conference selection following his senior year
- Became an immediate contributor for the Hens in 2007, playing in 13 games, starting eight, and recording 43 tackles, including six for loss and three sacks, helping the team nearly triple its sack total from the previous season
- Battled an ankle injury late in the season, but still contributed to an 11-4 record and impressive playoff march that culminated with the team’s appearance in the FCS National Championship Game
- Was twice named the Blue Hen Touchdown Club’s Defensive Player of the Week for his performances vs. West Chester (Sept. 8) and Rhode Island (Sept. 15)
- Transferred to Delaware in January 2007 and began participating in spring workouts at his familiar defensive end position

- Earned a B.A. in mass communications from Delaware and then enrolled in the school’s sport management graduate program and was named an honor student for the 2008-09 academic year
- A highly sought-after recruit out of Renaissance High School in Detroit, Mich., was rated the 11th overall player in the Midwest by the Detroit Free Press his senior year
- Was also named to the Free Press Division 4 all-state team and the All-Detroit team as a defensive lineman in 2003 after making 80 tackles, including 12 for loss and five sacks during his final prep season
- Made 122 tackles, an impressive 30 of them behind the line of scrimmage, as a junior in 2002
- Was a senior at Renaissance when fellow Packers non-drafted free agent tight end Carson Butler was a sophomore at the school, but the two did not overlap in athletics
- Volunteered with the March of Dimes throughout college and was also involved with the Boys and Girls Club of South Bend
- Also was a teammate of current Packers running back Ryan Grant during his redshirt season (2004) at Notre Dame
- An active contributor in the Delaware athletic department off the field, worked in the media services department in the summers, and also used his distinctive deep voice to record a promotional radio commercial for the ticket office prior to the 2007 season

- Enjoys listening to music, writing his own raps, reading, playing video games and spending time with his friends and family
