GREEN BAY - Packers running back Aaron Jones has been named the FedEx ground player of the week for Week 7, the NFL announced Thursday.

The rookie fifth-round pick out of UTEP Jones ran for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown last Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Jones carried the ball four times for 70 yards on Green Bay's opening offensive series, including a 46-yard touchdown run to put the Packers on the board early.

He also won the league's rookie of the week award in Week 5 after his 19-carry, 125-yard performance against Dallas on Oct. 8.

Jones has 62 carries for 346 yards and three touchdowns over the last four games.

FedEx will make a $2,000 donation to the USO in Jones' name through FedEx Cares.
