Ahman Green Recognized As MVP At Packer Hall Of Fame Banquet

Ahman Green, the 2001 Green Bay Packers' most valuable player, will be honored at the 32nd annual Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame Induction Banquet Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the KI Convention Center, downtown Green Bay.

Green was selected to his first-ever Pro Bowl after he finished second in the NFC in both rushing yards (1,387) and total yards from scrimmage (1,981) - both career highs. Green finished fourth in NFC scoring among non-kickers with 11 touchdowns (9 rushing, 2 receiving). Green was also Green Bay's leading receiver with 62 catches (594 yards and 2 TDs). He became just the third player in team history to post two or more consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, joining Jim Taylor and John Brockington.

Former Packers wide receiver Sterling Sharpe and team photographer Vernon Biever will be inducted into the Packer Hall of Fame at this year's banquet, Saturday, July 13 at the KI Convention Center. Cocktails are at 5:30 p.m., dinner and program will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $95 each. Tables of 10 are available and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
