Bellin Health, the official healthcare partner of the Green Bay Packers, today held a groundbreaking ceremony in the Titletown District for its 52,000-square-foot facility, Bellin Health Sports Medicine & Orthopedics.

"This facility will serve as a destination for those in need of excellence in sports medicine," said George Kerwin, Bellin Health president and CEO. "The most prominent aspect of our relationship with the Packers has been our shared desire to elevate the health and wellness of the community. This is an opportunity to share a magnificent sports medicine facility with athletes of all abilities."

The Titletown District is a destination area being created on approximately 34 acres of land immediately west of Lambeau Field. Bellin is the third tenant to break ground, following Lodge Kohler, a hotel built and managed by the Kohler Co., and Hinterland Restaurant.

"We are pleased to further our relationship with Bellin Health. Together, we are having a positive impact on the quality of life in our community," said Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO. "Bellin is known for delivering high quality healthcare and they've been a fantastic partner. We're delighted to have this clinic be one of the initial tenants in the Titletown District."

Bellin's facility will be geared toward injury prevention, performance improvement, and treatment and therapy for injuries. It will feature sports medicine and the offerings that complement it, such as sports nutrition and access to sports psychology. It will have the best diagnostic equipment available, including x-ray, lab and MRI.

The clinic will be staffed by longtime Packers team physician Dr. Patrick McKenzie, as well as Dr. Jim Ebben, Dr. James Spears, Dr. Gil Freeman and other sports medicine specialists. It will serve as a care location for Green Bay Packers players and the community at large.

"This facility will be monumental for patients. It is built on providing access to excellent sports medicine care, getting athletes of all abilities on the quickest path to recovery and back to the activities they love," McKenzie said. "Everything is designed with the athlete in mind – from professionals, to collegiate, to high school, to youth, to active adults."

Beyond injury treatment, Bellin Health Sports Medicine & Orthopedics will have sports performance experts on staff who will use ultra-high-speed video equipment to analyze athletic movements, helping to enhance performance, correct movements that can lead to injuries and signal when it's safe to return to action.

Completion of Bellin's facility, Lodge Kohler and Hinterland are slated to be complete by the start of the 2017 Packers Training Camp.
