GREEN BAY – Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 12.
The fifth-year cornerback recorded five tackles, a career-high four passes defensed and a 33-yard interception returned for a touchdown in Sunday's 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Douglas, signed off Arizona's practice squad on Oct. 6, has racked up 37 tackles with eight passes defensed, two interceptions and a forced fumble in seven games (four starts). He also had a game-ending interception in Green Bay's 24-21 win over the Cardinals on Oct. 28.
Douglas is the first Packers player to win NFC Defensive Player of the Week since outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith (Week 4, 2020), though inside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell was honored as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month in October.
