Randall Cobb and Clay Matthews have gotten their 2011 seasons off to an award-winning start.

Cobb was named the NFL's Rookie of the Week for Week 1 in a fan vote on NFL.com. Cobb tied an NFL record with a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and also had a 32-yard TD reception in his first NFL game.

Cobb, a second-round draft pick from Kentucky, won the vote over Seattle wide receiver Doug Baldwin, Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, Carolina quarterback Cam Newton and Arizona cornerback/punt-returner Patrick Peterson.

Matthews' goal-line stop on the final play of Green Bay's victory over the Saints was selected the Never Say Never Moment of the Week for Week 1, also by fan vote. Matthews led the charge as the defense stopped New Orleans running back Mark Ingram on the 1-yard line after a pass interference penalty on the previous play gave the Saints one last chance at the tying score.

The play by Matthews won in the voting over Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson's game-sealing 39-yard touchdown run against Cleveland and New York Jets running back Joe McKnight's block of a Dallas punt in the fourth quarter to spur a comeback.
