For the second time this season, Packers kicker Mason Crosby has been named "NFC Special Teams Player of the Week."
Crosby earned it this time for his effort last Sunday in the Metrodome, where he made all four of his field goal tries, including a franchise-record 58-yarder late in the third quarter. Crosby also hit four of seven kickoffs for touchbacks in the 33-27 victory over the Vikings.
The strong day extended Crosby's streak to 21 consecutive field goals made in the regular season, a franchise record. He is 14-of-14 this season. Sunday's game also marked the fifth time in Crosby's career he has made four field goals in a game.
Crosby also won the NFC's weekly award two weeks ago following the Atlanta game, when he also made four field goals and tied his then-franchise record with a 56-yard boot.
This is the fourth player-of-the-week award in Crosby's career. He also won it in Week 1 of 2007, his rookie season, and in Week 1 of 2010.
