Crosstown rivals meet in first QB Challenge of regular season

GREEN BAY – Crosstown rivals from nearby Appleton will go head-to-head in the first QB Challenge of the regular season at Sunday's Packers-Lions game at Lambeau Field.

For Appleton North and Appleton East, the halftime competition will be a preview of sorts of their upcoming rivalry game on Friday, Sept. 30, hosted by East.

Appleton North is currently 3-2, having lost two straight after a 3-0 start. QB Zach Parker has thrown for 655 yards with six TDs and just two interceptions so far in 2016, with WR Jacob Hiltunen the team leader in receptions with 28, for 186 yards. WR Cam Birling has added six catches for 81 yards and a TD this season.

Appleton East is currently 1-4, with QB Dallas Westerman throwing for 441 yards with three TDs and two interceptions. WRs Mason Priebe and Dylan Walker have combined for five catches, 65 yards and a TD.
