Packers RB Eddie Lacy has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 25-carry, 125-yard rushing performance in Green Bay's 24-21 victory over Minnesota on Sunday.
Both the carries and yards were season highs for Lacy, who was battling a stomach illness throughout the game. He scored on a 1-yard rushing touchdown and added a second TD on a 10-yard shovel pass in the fourth quarter. Lacy also carried the ball five straight times for 27 yards as the Packers drained the final 3:23 off the clock after the Vikings had pulled within three points.
It was Lacy's second 100-yard rushing game of the season, with the other coming against the Vikings as well. His 5.0-yard average was accomplished with a long run of just 16. He compiled 65 of his 138 yards from scrimmage in the fourth quarter.
This is Lacy's second NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. He was also honored last season following his 141-yard day at Dallas in Week 15.
