With chilly weather expected for Monday night's Packers-Rams contest, fans keeping warm while tailgating before the game are reminded that wood burning recreational fires are not allowed at Lambeau Field.

It is the policy of the Green Bay Fire Department, along with the Green Bay Packers and local ordinance, to prohibit recreational fires in the parking lot of Lambeau Field. Citations will be issued and fines levied for violations of the ordinance.

Fans also are cautioned in the use of propane and other fuels used for barbeques and heating equipment. These units never should be left unattended or used within three feet of combustible materials or vehicles. Grills and other cooking devices must be elevated at least two inches above the pavement surface. All charcoal should be deposited in the receptacles provided. These polices are provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable tailgating experience.

Please call Green Bay Fire Prevention at 920-448-3289 with any questions.
