Favre Diary: Ready for Ravens

Brett Favre

Editor's Note: An unbeaten start came to an end for Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. And as the three-time NFL MVP points out, the game that follows ought to be just as challenging.

Well, ol' Warren Sapp and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got one from us. Still, 3-1 is a great way to start the season. Everybody played hard, but they made some crucial plays when they had to and we just came up a little short at the end.

Games against them are never easy, and I usually end up spending a little extra time in the training room come Monday.

The team we face this weekend, the Baltimore Ravens, is very similar to the Bucs. They have, in my opinion, one of the top defensive players to ever play this game in linebacker Ray Lewis. Their defensive front does a great job against the run, so we should have our work cut out for us.

On a separate note, the dates have been set for my golf tournament on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The pairings party will be held Friday night, May 17, 2002, with a celebrity golf tournament on Saturday, May 18, 2002. Tim McGraw has again agreed to perform the concert on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it and if you would like more information, please call 1-800-660-1407.

Thanks again for checking in and I'll talk to you again next week.
