Among the fans cheering on the Packers at this Sunday's game will be 35 fourth-graders from the Green Bay Packers Fit Kids wellness program, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Today, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced the winners of its Green Bay Packers Fit Kids Ticket Giveaway Contest. Each winning student was awarded two tickets to Sunday's game at Lambeau Field – one for the student and one for the accompanying parent or guardian. The students will also have the opportunity to go on the field before the game to record a video message that will air on the Lambeau Field TundraVision video boards during the game.
To enter the contest, the students had to write an essay or make a poster that describes what they do to stay healthy. Winners were selected by random drawing. Pictures of the winning entries can be viewed and downloaded at http://anthemwi.tumblr.com.
The Fit Kids Ticket Giveaway is a part of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield's ongoing work with the Packers to raise awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyles and bring positive health messages to Wisconsin classrooms.
"We're proud to join with the Green Bay Packers for the third consecutive year to promote healthy habits across Wisconsin," said Larry Schreiber, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin. "The 35 winners attending the game on Sunday have demonstrated a commitment to active lifestyles and good nutrition, and we are excited to welcome them to Lambeau Field."
