Former Packers Davis and Gizzi at Lambeau Field Thursday

Former players at Pro Shop Wednesday; Tundra Tailgate Zone, Legends Club Thursday

Former Green Bay Packers Willie Davis and Chris Gizzi will be in Green Bay this week taking part in various fan activities leading up to the Packers 2011 NFL Kickoff against the New Orleans Saints.

Davis (1960-69), a 15th-round draft choice, came to the Packers from the Browns in a 1960 trade. A defensive end, he became one of the premier pass rushers in pro football history, earning All-Pro honors five times and selection to the Pro Bowl five times. A member to all five of Vince Lombardi's NFL title-winning teams, including Super Bowls I and II, Davis continues to hold the all-time Packers record for career fumble recoveries (21.)

Gizzi (2000-01) made Packers history by becoming the first player from the Air Force Academy ever to play for the team. Before coming to Green Bay, the linebacker spent his first two seasons on the Denver Broncos' reserve/military list meeting his military commitment. Gizzi also is remembered for leading the team onto the field waving the American flag during the first Monday Night Football game following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

On Wednesday, Sept. 7, both Davis andGizzi will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Packers Pro Shop from 12 to 2 p.m.

Also on Thursday, Daviswill be visiting with fans and signing autographs from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

On Thursday, Sept. 8, prior to the game from 6 to 7 p.mGizzi will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Tundra Tailgate Zone.More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

Both players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities and will take the field with 32 NFL alums who will be a part of Thursday's Ambassador Line.
