Former Packers Hunter, Torkelson to meet with fans this week

Former players at Packers Pro Shop Wednesday, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club Thursday

Leading up to the Green Bay Packers game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 featured Packers alumni Scott Hunter and Eric Torkelson will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Hunter on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 6 to 7 p.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html

Also on Thursday, Torkelson will be visiting with fans and signing autographs from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Legends Clubon the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

Hunter, a sixth-round pick from Alabama in the 1971 NFL Draft, was a quarterback who started the second game of his rookie year, when quarterbacks Bart Starr and Zeke Bratowski suffered injuries. He started 10 games overall that year and his seven TD passes is the second most for a rookie quarterback in club history. In 1972 as the starter, Hunter led the team to its first division title since 1967.

Torkelson came to the Green Bay Packers as an 11th-round NFL Draft pick out of Connecticut in 1974. In 93 career games, he rushed for 1,307 yards and eight touchdowns, and also posted 469 receiving yards. His best year came in 1979 when he rushed for 401 yards and three touchdowns and added 139 receiving yards.

Both former Packers players will be introduced from Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
