Johnson was a premier pass-rusher from his defensive end position and earned Pro Bowl honors in 1978 after finishing second in the league with 20.5 sacks. He ranks fifth in team annals with 41.5 career sacks and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1997.

Whitehurst, the Packers' eighth-round pick out of Furman in 1977, went on to play in 54 career games at quarterback. A dependable backup during most of his career, he started two seasons and led the 1978 team to a 8-7-1 record that fell just short of the playoffs.
