Former Packers LB Clayton Weishuhn dies at 62

Waiver claim played in nine games for Green Bay in 1987

Former linebacker Clayton Weishuhn, who played in nine games for the Packers in 1987, was killed April 22, 2022, in a one-vehicle, rollover crash near his hometown of Wall, Texas. Weishuhn was 62.

The Packers claimed Weishuhn off waivers from the New England Patriots, where he started the first 25 games of his career and then missed all but five over the next three seasons due to injuries. Weishuhn announced his retirement in May 1988.
