Former Packers Luke, Buchanon to meet with fans this weekend

Leading up to the Green Bay Packers game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Sept. 30, featured Packers alumni Steve Luke and Willie Buchanon will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Sept. 29 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Luke on Sept. 30from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

During that same time on Sunday, Buchanon will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Legends Clubon the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

Luke, a fourth-round pick in 1975 from Ohio State, played six seasons for the Packers, starting five years (1976-80) at safety. He posted 10 career interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. His best season came in 1978, when he registered 133 unassisted tackles, the third-best single-season performance in Packers history.

Buchanon became a starter as a 1972 rookie and was called the best cornerback to enter the NFL in a generation. He posted 21 career interceptions for the Green and Gold and in 1978, his nine interceptions tied for second most in Packers history for a single season. Four of those picks came in one game against the San Diego Chargers, tying an NFL record. Buchanon was an All-Pro choice in 1978 and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1993.

Both former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
