"We are so grateful that Habitat gave us this opportunity to help us with our dream of being homeowners," stated Salvador. The Robles, a family of six, will move from a cramped 2 bedroom mobile home to their larger 4 bedroom Habitat home.
The primary sponsor for the home was the Green Bay Packers.
"The Packers are excited to partner with the Habitat for Humanity to support the new home for the Robles family," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "Habitat for Humanity makes a tremendous impact on families here in Brown County and our employees enjoyed their opportunity to help with such a worthwhile project."
On hand to help celebrate this event will be Green Bay Packers players James Jones, Greg Jennings and Nick Collins. James Jones, who grew up living in homeless shelters, has a mission that coincides with that of Habitat for Humanity ~ working with families in need to provide simple, decent and affordable housing. The Jones' established the Love Jones 4 Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization to assist homeless and underprivileged children. Likewise, Greg Jennings has partnered with Habitat for Humanity affiliates in both Wisconsin and Michigan, as well as numerous other non-profit organizations, to help underprivileged children and families. Jennings also announced Thursday that he is going to sponsor a home in the Green Bay area. Nick Collins, along with his wife Andrea and their children, have partnered with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity to promote an upcoming fundraising campaign complete with PSA's featuring the family.
