GREEN BAY â The Packers overcame some sloppy offense early and late to post a 27-19 victory over the Panthers on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
With the win, Green Bay improved to 5-3 on the season. Carolina fell to 3-4.
The Packers built a 27-10 lead in the second half on the strength of a big night from QB Jordan Love, who finished 30-of-41 for 288 yards with three TDs, one INT and a 106.6 passer rating.
WR Christian Watson had eight catches for 113 yards amidst a trip to the hospital for testing on a chest injury. Watson came back into the game when the tests were clear.

The Panthers had a late fourth-quarter drive starting on their own 45-yard line, but the defense got a four-and-out to effectively seal the game.
