John Fabry, a former Packers Executive Committee Vice President and longtime member of the
Board of Directors passed away Monday night, Nov. 4, at the age of 74.
"John was a valuable member of the Packers family for many years," said Packers President/CEO
Mark Murphy. "His support was integral to the success of the organization and we're thankful for his
many contributions."
"Our condolences go out to his wife, Vicki, and his family."
Fabry was first elected to the Packers Board of Directors in 1980. Subsequently elected to the
Executive Committee in 1981, he served as Vice President from June 1989 until October 2007. He
became Director Emeritus in 2009.
He worked closely with former Packers President/CEO Bob Harlan and advised him on many
challenges the organization faced.
"John was extremely valuable to me and the organization in the 19 years I was president," Harlan
said. "I bounced a lot of ideas off him and he helped us through many tough decisions, including
personnel moves, the move from Milwaukee, the stock sale and stadium referendum. He was a
trusted friend."
