Green Bay Packers President/COO John Jones underwent open-heart surgery Sunday afternoon at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. The surgery went as planned and Jones is in stable condition and resting comfortably. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Jones was feeling ill Sunday, and after a series of tests and consultation with doctors at the hospital, he was taken into surgery.
"Everyone at the Green Bay Packers is thankful that JJ's surgery went well," said Packers Chairman/CEO Bob Harlan. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his wife, Cindy, and their family. We all wish him well for a continued successful recovery and look forward to seeing him back at Lambeau Field sometime in the next month."
