The Green Bay Packers will again host the popular Halloween-themed event Spooktacular Fun this October.
Spooktacular Fun, free to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Accessed through the Miller Lite Gate, Oneida Nation Gate or American Family Insurance Gate on the north and east side of the Atrium, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spooktacular Fun will feature interactive entertainment including music, magic and variety acts. Children also will have the opportunity to receive temporary airbrush tattoos and can put their artistic skills to work at Halloween-themed craft stations.
Those who attend the event are also encouraged to bring new or gently-used winter coats to Lambeau to donate to the Coats for Kidsprogram.
In addition, the FBI Milwaukee Division and its Green Bay resident agency, in partnership with the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, will have representatives on hand at the event to distribute free child ID kits to parents and guardians. The child ID kit allows parents or guardians to collect specific information by easily recording the physical characteristics and fingerprints of their children on identification cards that are kept at home. If ever needed, this ID kit gives authorities the vital information necessary to help locate a missing child.
"We are excited to host the Spooktacular Fun event at Lambeau Field for the 12th year," said Cathy Dworak, Packers director of community outreach and player/alumni relations. "It allows us a great opportunity to welcome fall and enjoy celebrating Halloween with the community."
'Spooktacular Fun' is one in a series of community events held each year by the Packers. Other events include an ecumenical Thanksgiving Day meal for area needy families, 'Project Play 60' and the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer.
