The Green Bay Packers will host the fifth annual Halloween-themed event, 'Spooktacular Fun,' Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. The main Atrium event, accessed through the Miller Brewing Company Gate, is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Haunted Concourse, accessed through the Oneida Nation Gate, has three sessions: 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.

The popular Haunted Concourse returns this year after its successful debut last fall. Designed for teens - it has a PG-13 rating - the Haunted Concourse will be set in a darkened Lambeau Field concourse and features scenes of high-tech shocks and horrors. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a guardian into the Haunted Concourse, and children under the age of 8 will not be permitted. A separate entrance and special hours have been established for the Haunted Concourse: guests should enter through the Oneida Nation Gate and the hours are 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Lines for the Haunted Concourse may be cut off to ensure the event can close at the scheduled time.

In addition, the day will again feature interactive and entertaining activities in the Atrium, including sing-along music, ventriloquism, variety performers and stilt walkers.

"The Haunted Concourse was a big hit last year and we're excited to bring it back with some added thrills," said Cathy Dworak, Packers manager of community outreach. "The main event in the Atrium also continues to offer a lot of fun for younger kids and families. We have a great time hosting the event."

A main stage will host a variety of entertainment throughout the day, and roaming entertainers will make their way around the Atrium. Children also will have the opportunity to participate in face painting and other Halloween-themed arts and crafts.

In a related offering, the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame will offer special half-priced admission for children (ages 6 to 11) from Oct. 20 through Nov. 4. The special rate, $2.50, is only available for individual, on-site sales.

'Spooktacular Fun' is one in a series of free community events held each year by the Packers. Other events include an ecumenical Thanksgiving Day meal for area needy families, 'Project LEAP,' and 'Shindig at 1265.'
