It's not too late to sign up for a unique fundraising opportunity at Lambeau Field. The Packers and Delaware North Companies Sportservice – the exclusive food and beverage provider for the Packers and Lambeau Field – are looking for local non-profit organizations to participate in their fundraising program during the 2012-2013 football season.
Sportservice is actively recruiting civic organizations, high school boosters, churches and other non-profit groups to operate concessions at Lambeau Field to raise funds for their respective organizations. Participating groups will be required to work each home game through the end of the season. On average, $40 to $60 can be raised per volunteer at each event.
This specific fundraising initiative was created more than 20 years ago and is an important part of Delaware North Companies Sportservice's long history in working with teams to assist charities and local communities. Today, the program is as strong as ever, collecting between $10 and $15 million annually for non-profit groups across the country.
In 2011 At Lambeau Field, 74 non-profit groups raised $1 million.
Any interested parties should contact Sportservice Non-Profit Coordinator Teri Heath at greenbaynpo@dncinc.com or at 920-965-3775 to sign up for the 2012-2013 season, or to find out more about the program.
"This initiative is an excellent way for organizations to raise money without having to risk investing up front," Sportservice General Manager, Charlie Millerwise said. "We want to remind groups throughout the region that it's not too late to get involved."
