Lambeau Field is ready for Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Diego Chargers, which will revisit the Packers' storied past as the team wears their third jersey.

The new third jersey is a re-creation of the team's uniform from 1937-48, a special time in Packers history in which they won two of their record 13 NFL championships.

The jerseys will be navy blue and gold, the Packers' predominant color scheme over their first three decades; and their design will include a gold yoke across the shoulders, the distinctive feature of their uniforms from 1937-48. Completing the historic ensemble will be faded gold pants and high navy socks.

Prior to Sunday's game, the Packers and Verizon will team up to host a wireless phone drive in support of domestic violence survivors. Part of Verizon's HopeLine® program, the special collection invites fans to donate their no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any carrier.

Volunteers will be accepting donated phones and equipment at each Lambeau Field entrance from 1:25 p.m. until kickoff.

The phones donated to HopeLine are refurbished and recycled in an environmentally safe way with proceeds going towards the financial support of domestic violence awareness and prevention initiatives. Verizon also donates wireless phones through the HopeLine program, complete with service and data, to domestic violence shelters and non-profit organizations for use by victims and survivors.

Those who will not be at the game can still donate by bringing their used phones and accessories to Lambeau Field and donating at the Verizon HopeLine® donation box in the Atrium, or at any area Verizon store.

During this October's Domestic Violence Awareness month, Verizon also invites the public to make donations for Golden House at its retail store in Ashwaubenon at 820 Willard Drive. Community members are being asked to donate much-needed items to help survivors who rely on Golden House's shelter services, including toiletries, bed and bath items, children's care items and household goods.
