Lambeau Field ready for Sunday's Packers-Cowboys game

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre to be honored in halftime ceremony; Packers to wear historic third jersey

Lambeau Field is ready for Sunday's Packers-Cowboys game, which will honor former Packers quarterback Brett Favre in a halftime ceremony to celebrate his recent induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Favre will be present at the ceremony that will include a ring presentation and the unveiling of Favre's name on the Lambeau Field façade alongside other Pro Football Hall of Famers.

Sunday will also revisit the Packers' storied past as the team wears their third jersey. This third jersey, which debuted during the 2015 season, is a re-creation of the team's uniform from 1937-48, a special time in Packers history in which they won two of their record 13 NFL championships. The jerseys are navy blue and gold, the Packers' predominant color scheme over their first three decades. Faded gold pants and high navy socks complete the historic ensemble.

The Packers' annual Coats for Kids collection also will take place Sunday in the Lambeau Field parking lot, beginning at 11:25 a.m. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to donate new and gently used coats for distribution to needy children through the Salvation Army. Cash donations will be accepted as well.

The organization also is reminding game attendees to allow plenty of time to enter the stadium gates prior to the game and to enter at the gate listed on their tickets. Additionally, all fans entering Lambeau Field on gameday will use walk-through metal detectors, a league-wide mandate for use at all NFL stadium gates. The most efficient way through the detectors will be via express lanes at each gate for fans entering the stadium without any bags or stadium seats. As in previous years, no bags or purses will be allowed inside Lambeau Field unless they are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and are no larger than 12" by 6" by 12". Small clutches that do not exceed 4.5" by 6.5" are permitted. Stadium cushions are also not allowed, however, stadium seats and stadium pads that contain no pockets or zippers and are 18" wide or smaller are allowed. Two featured alumni are scheduled to make appearances Sunday; Earl Dotsonand Bruce Wilkersonwill be taking part in fan activities at the Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club, respectively, leading up to kickoff.

In addition, the Packers and WPS Health Solutions will be recognizing U.S. Army veteran Halli Stewart and her family through Operation Fan Mail on-field prior to the national anthem.

SingerJohn Vincent will perform the national anthem. A flyover will be conducted by Air Force Special Operations Command CV-22s from the 8th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Sunday's pregame festivities will also honor Lia Haile from Manitowoc as the Shopko Kick-off Kid. Lia is being honored in the Shopko Kids Making a Difference program for founding the Hopeful Hearts Club that works to help the homeless in her community. Learn more at shopko.com/kickoffkid.

Also during halftime, the High School Quarterback Challenge, presented by HPE and Camera Corner, will feature players fromCedar Grove-Belgium High SchoolandOostburg High Schoolin an on-field competition.

Fans will receive can coozies compliments of Miller Liteas the game giveaway as they enter the stadium.

All fans, even those without game tickets, can attend the premier gameday tailgate party in the Tundra Tailgate Zone (TTZ) in the Lambeau Field parking, featuring live bands, alumni autographs and food and beverages.
