The Green Bay Packers will host the popular Halloween-themed events Spooktacular Fun and the Haunted Concoursethis Friday and Saturday at Lambeau Field.
Spooktacular Fun, free to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Accessed through the Miller Lite Gate on the north end of Lambeau Field, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spooktacular Fun will feature interactive entertainment including music, magic and variety acts. Children also will have the opportunity to have their faces painted and can put their artistic skills to work at Halloween-themed craft stations.
Those who attend the event are also encouraged to bring their new or gently-used coats to Lambeau to donate to the Coats for Kidsprogram.
The FBI Milwaukee Division and its Green Bay resident agency, in partnership with the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, will have representatives on hand to distribute free child ID kits to parents and guardians. The child ID kit allows parents or guardians to collect specific information by easily recording the physical characteristics and fingerprints of their children on identification cards that are kept at home. If ever needed, this ID kit gives authorities the vital information necessary to help locate a missing child.
The Haunted Concourse this year again is open for two days of thrills and has an admission price of $2, with all proceeds to benefit the New Community Shelter Inc. The Haunted Concourse is accessed through the Oneida Nation Gate on Lambeau Field's east side. It is open Friday, Oct. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and again from 9 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 12, hours are 10 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m., 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. Lines may be cut off prior to the closing times to ensure there are no unnecessary waits.
The Haunted Concourse, designed for teens with a PG-13 rating, will be set in a darkened Lambeau Field concourse and feature scenes of high-tech shocks and horrors. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a guardian into the Haunted Concourse, and children under the age of 8 will not be permitted.
