T.J. Lang has taken the lead in the battle for the starting left guard job, which will be reflected in Friday night's preseason game in Indianapolis.

Lang and first-round draft pick Derek Sherrod have been locked in a battle for the starting job. Sherrod began training camp as the starter at the position and in the preseason opener in Cleveland, but Lang was the starter against the Cardinals. The two players alternated series in the first two preseason games.

Packers.com will update this story and will provide other details from Monday's practice, following McCarthy's press conference.
