The Green Bay Packers Saturday activated cornerback Mike McKenzie from the exempt/commissioner's permission list, and waived tight end Sean McHugh, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced.

McKenzie, the Packers' starter at left cornerback since 1999, rejoined the Packers Wednesday. Commissioner Paul Tagliabue granted the Packers a regular-season roster exemption (permission to carry 54 players) that was to expire Sept. 27 or if McKenzie dressed for either of the next two games.

McHugh came to Green Bay on waivers from Tennessee, Sept. 6. He made his NFL debut Monday night at Carolina.
