The roster for third annual Packers Fan Fest, set for March 9-10 at the Lambeau Field Atrium, continues to be finalized as the team announced further additions Friday.
Former general manger Ron Wolf, architect of the Super Bowl XXXI championship team, will appear along with players from the championship squad including Don Beebe, Antonio Freeman, Edgar Bennett, William Henderson, Gilbert Brown, Frank Winters and Dorsey Levens. Former sack-master Ezra Johnson will join current sack-master Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Rob Davis, Will Blackmon, Brandon Miree, Colin Cole, Daryn Colledge, Ruvell Martin, Patrick Dendy, Noah Herron and Jon Ryan. Packers legends Larry McCarren, Fuzzy Thurston and Johnnie Gray were also added to the fold.
The new additions join Nick Barnett, Robert Brooks, LeRoy Butler, Nick Collins, Lynn Dickey, Ahman Green, Cullen Jenkins, Aaron Kampman, Brady Poppinga, Dave Rayner, Aaron Rodgers, Jason Spitz, Scott Wells and Corey Williams.
Another element added to this year's event is a new raffle prize that awards the winner, plus a guest, a 30-minute meet-and-greet session with a player on Saturday. Participating Packers, subject to change, are Barnett, Bennett, Green, Henderson, Rodgers and Winters. Photographs with the players will be welcome, as will one autograph per person during the session. Raffle tickets (10 for $10, 20 for $15 and 30 for $20) will be available for purchase Friday and winners will be chosen and announced Friday evening. Four winning tickets per player will be drawn and with each winner afforded one guest, the session with a player will total eight people.
This year, the same amount of Packers fun - autograph sessions, main-stage presentations, children's activities, etc. - has been efficiently scheduled over the course of two days rather than three. The new format, developed from attendee feedback and internal review, allows greater flexibility for local fans planning the weekend and for out-of-town guests making travel arrangements.
The schedule for Fan Fest on March 9 will be from 3 to 10 p.m., with a kickoff event at 4 p.m. On March 10, Fan Fest will run from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets include, in addition to entrance to the sold-out, two-day event, admission to the Packers Hall of Fame and a tour through the Packers locker room (available Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Children 3 and under enter free and do not require a ticket. Parking for the event is free off of Ridge Road and Lombardi Avenue.
Fan Fest partners include Chevrolet and Goodwill Industries. A portion of Fan Fest proceeds will go to charity through the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
Further details, including player appearances, will be announced in the coming weeks.
