GREEN BAY – The final drive won it for the Packers on Sunday, but it was the opening possession of the third quarter that kept Dallas chasing Green Bay the rest of the game.
The six-play, 75-yard march was also vintage Aaron Rodgers, and for those reasons, it's the Chevy Drive of the Week from the Packers' 34-31 NFC Divisional playoff victory over the Cowboys.
Leading 21-13 heading into the second half, the Packers got the ball first and Rodgers went right to work. He immediately hit WR Randall Cobb for a 25-yard gain to midfield, and the offense was on the move.
After two short completions, Rodgers then found WR Davante Adams for 14 yards to convert on third-and-3 to get the Packers into scoring range.
On the next snap, TE Jared Cook was one-on-one down the sideline on Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne, and Cook went up to haul in a 26-yard reception, making it first-and-goal on the 3.
Cook wasn't done, catching the TD pass from Rodgers right after, as a play-action fake by the quarterback left the veteran tight end wide open in the end zone. Rodgers was a perfect 6-for-6 on the drive, covering all 75 yards through the air.
The score by Cook, his first in a postseason game, gave the Packers a 28-13 lead and foreshadowed the big play to come from Cook in the waning moments of the ballgame.
