The Packers are now accepting nominations for the Green Bay Packers Give Back Award, which recognizes outstanding volunteers within the state of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to nominate exceptional volunteers who demonstrate leadership, dedication and a commitment to bettering their communities through volunteerism. The Packers Give Back Award is funded by the Green Bay Packers and the NFL Foundation, with each volunteer receiving $2,000 for his or her respective charity.

The Packers Give Back Award is for volunteers who are not compensated for their services and have served a minimum of one year with their organization. Recipients will be selected from the following categories: youth (under the age of 18), adult (ages 18 to 65) and senior (over the age of 65). A total of 10 recipients will be selected.

Nominations will be accepted online at www.packers.com/giveback Friday, Sept. 1, through Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.

The award has given $405,000 to deserving volunteers to benefit their charities or nonprofit organizations since 2000. Further information can be obtained through the Packers' community outreach department at 920/569-7500 or via e-mail at IGAMFoundation@packers.com.

The Packers Give Back Award is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the Packers' all-encompassing community outreach initiative. Combined with other Green Bay Packers charity endeavors, the awards contribute to a comprehensive Packers charity impact of $8 million in the past year.
