The Green Bay Packers Wednesday added tight end Bubba Franks to the active roster and waived safety Julius Curry, said Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Franks, who signed a multi-year contract on Aug. 24, previously was not on the Packers' active roster, as the team was afforded a roster exemption by NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue.
