Packers announce Boston Store as first Packers 'Community Partner'

Packers and Boston Store to donate more than 500 coats to Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee on Dec. 15 to kick off new community impact program

The Green Bay Packers today introduced Boston Store as the first member of its new "Community Partners" program, a coalition of Wisconsin businesses formed with the purpose of making a difference in the community. The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., headquartered in Milwaukee, operating Boston Store and Younkers locations in the region, has joined the "Community Partners" initiative to continue its work with nonprofit organizations in southeast Wisconsin.

The "Community Partners" program, which will focus on non-profit organizations in southeast Wisconsin, will combine the efforts of the Packers and Community Partners members, such as Boston Store, to help those in need through donations, assistance with fundraising efforts and volunteerism.

The initiative will kick off Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m., with Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien and Boston Store volunteers, who will visit the LaVarnway location of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee to distribute more than 500 winter coats to Boys and Girls club members.

"We're excited to begin our work with Boston Store and the Community Partners program at the Boys and Girls Club," said Aaron Hart, manager of corporate sales in the Packers' Milwaukee office. "Through the shared efforts of the Packers and Boston Store, we can make a significant difference in southeast Wisconsin communities, and we look forward to collaborating with other Wisconsin non-profit organizations to offer our help to those in need."

"Boston Store and Younkers have a long history of philanthropy in southeastern Wisconsin and across the Midwest," said Christine Hojnacki, President of The Bon-Ton Stores Foundation. "Collaborating with the Green Bay Packers enables our company to further this mission and enhance our outreach efforts in the community."

"Community Partners" is a program designed for participation by multiple partners who are interested in joining the Packers in giving back to the community. Additional partners and their initiatives will be announced in the future.
