The Packers have accepted an invitation from President Barack Obama to visit the White House on Friday, Aug. 12, the day before the Packers open their preseason in Cleveland.
"I'm really excited. I'm so glad we were able to work this out. With the labor situation in the offseason, we weren't sure if we would find the time to get the team there. We were able to find a date and I'm excited for our players and we're excited to meet president Obama," Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said on Wednesday.
