The Green Bay Packers and Bellin Health have entered into an agreement making the health system the exclusive health care partner of the Packers organization, Packers Chairman Bob Harlan and Bellin Health President and CEO George Kerwin announced Thursday.

"The Green Bay Packers are proud to be associated with Bellin Health," said Harlan. "It is a health care organization that sets the standard for excellence and is a standout member of our community.

"For generations, Bellin Health has served the greater Green Bay area. Much like the Packers, the organization was founded here and has grown with the community. Its physicians and employees have a great feel for our area and its values. We are fortunate to have their excellent services."

"We genuinely value the opportunity to be the health care partner of the Green Bay Packers," said Kerwin. "Through this relationship we hope to create an experience for the residents of Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin that will improve their overall health and life."

The multi-year agreement calls for a number of different ways to enhance the relationship of the two organizations, including in-game health promotions, advertising billboards and shared community events.

The two organizations have partnered for several years on community events including the Superbowl of Safety and the Bellin Elite Football Combine. Most recently, the Packers and Bellin joined forces in the Make the Right Call - 911 campaign to honor EMS workers.

One of the most visible components of the agreement is the Don Hutson Center billboards, a popular feature on the Lambeau Field campus. Unveiled this week, the content features a humorous football theme and highlights the longstanding excellent care from Bellin Health.

"Bellin Health will celebrate our 100th anniversary this season, in 2008," said Kerwin. "Who better to join us in the celebration than the Green Bay Packers and their fans?"

On the professional side, the Packers and Bellin Health enjoy the outstanding services of Dr. Patrick McKenzie. McKenzie serves as the team physician and his practice, Orthopaedic Associates, is a Bellin Health partner, with its offices located on the health system's Ashwaubenon campus.
