packers HEAD INTO THEIR WEEK 4 BYE
- The Packers enter their Week 4 bye with a 1-2 record, with the two defeats coming on the road to a pair of 2012 playoff teams (San Francisco and Cincinnati).
- The Week 4 bye is the earliest one under Head Coach Mike McCarthy and the earliest for Green Bay since a Week 4 bye in 1999.
- Green Bay is currently third in the NFC North behind Chicago (3-0) and Detroit (2-1) and ahead of Minnesota (0-3).
- After the open date on the schedule, the Packers will host Detroit at Lambeau Field in Week 5. It marks the second time in the past four seasons that the Lions have visited Green Bay in early October (Oct. 3, 2010).
- Green Bay has a 13-1 mark (.929) against the Lions under McCarthy. Overall, the Packers have won 14 of the last 15 against Detroit and 22 of the last 25 in the series.
- The Packers have won 22 straight games against the Lions in the state of Wisconsin (including a 1994 playoff game). The streak started with Green Bay's win over the Lions at County Stadium in Milwaukee on Dec. 6, 1992.
- Green Bay's 21-game regular-season home winning streak against Detroit is the longest in NFL history, ahead of Washington's 18-game home winning streak against the Lions (1939-2007) and Pittsburgh's 16-game streak versus the Cleveland Browns (1970-85).
- This will be the first time since 2000 that the Packers' first game in the division didn't arrive until Week 5 or later (Week 5 vs. Chicago in 2000).
- Three of the Packers' next five games will come against NFC North foes. Following the Detroit game, Green Bay will travel to Baltimore and host Cleveland before a Week 8 visit to Minnesota and a Week 9 home tilt against Chicago.
- When the Packers take the field against the Lions in Week 5, they will be looking to extend their home divisional winning streak to 10 games.
- Since the league went to a divisional format in 1967, Green Bay has had only two winning streaks of 10-plus games against divisional foes at home. The Packers won 18 straight at home in the division from 1994-98 and 10 straight from 2000-02.
- Under McCarthy, Green Bay has a 32-10 overall record (.762) in NFC North games (No. 2 in the NFL) and an 18-3 mark (.857) at home in the division (No. 2 in the NFL).
- The Packers have won eight straight regular-season games at home and 21 of their last 22 (.955) at Lambeau Field. Green Bay's eight-game home winning streak is tied with Denver for the second-longest current home winning streak behind only Seattle (10 games).
- Green Bay has a 29-8 record (.784) in its last 37 regular-season games, which ranks No. 2 in the NFL behind only New England (30-7, .811) for the best mark in the NFL over that span.
IN AND OUT OF THE BYE
- Green Bay's loss at Cincinnati on Sunday snapped a three-game winning streak for the Packers in the game leading into the bye.
- The Packers fell to 5-3 (.625) under Head Coach Mike McCarthy in the game heading into the open date on their schedule.
- Green Bay will come out of its bye week with a home game for only the second time in eight seasons under McCarthy. In 2009, the Packers had their open date in Week 5 and hosted Detroit at Lambeau Field in Week 6.
- In games immediately following its bye week, Green Bay has won 13 of its last 17 (.765). Under McCarthy, the Packers are 6-1 (.857) in the game following the bye, which is tied for No. 1 in the NFL over that span.
- Green Bay has won its first game after the bye in each of the last four seasons, outscoring its opponents 126-61 in those contests. That included a 26-0 win vs. Detroit in 2009 and a 31-3 victory at Minnesota in 2010.
- Since McCarthy took over in 2006, the Packers have a 43-22 overall record (.662) after the bye. Since 2009, Green Bay is 26-9 (.743) overall after the bye.
STREAKING AT HOME
- The Packers will enter their Week 5 contest against Detroit having won eight consecutive regular-season games at Lambeau Field.

- In Sunday's loss at Cincinnati, rookie RB Johnathan Franklin rushed for 103 yards and a TD on 13 carries (7.9 avg.), with all of the yards coming in the second half after starting RB James Starks departed the game due to a knee injury.
- According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Franklin's 103 rushing yards were the most in franchise history by a rookie RB in his first game with a rushing attempt, surpassing the previous mark set by RB Ralph Earhart (78 yards) at the Boston Yanks on Sept. 17, 1948.
- Franklin became the first Green Bay rookie to rush for 100 yards in a game on 13 or fewer carries since Steve Atkins rushed for 110 yards on 12 attempts vs. New Orleans on Sept. 9, 1979.
- Franklin became the first Packer rookie to rush for 100 yards in a regular-season game since Brandon Jackson posted 113 yards on the ground vs. Detroit on Dec. 30, 2007.
- Franklin's 51-yard run in the third quarter was the longest by a Green Bay rookie since RB Samkon Gado's 64-yard TD run vs. Detroit on Dec. 11, 2005, and the longest by any Packer since Jackson's 71-yarder at Washington on Oct. 10, 2010.
