Here are some highlights from the Packers-Cardinals Week 9Dope Sheet:

ARIZONA (4-4) AT GREEN BAY (5-3)Sunday, Nov. 4 - Lambeau Field - Noon CST

PACKERS HOST CARDINALS IN FINAL CONTEST BEFORE BYE

  • Green Bay stays home for the second straight week to host Arizona this Sunday, the Cardinals' seventh visit ever to Lambeau Field and their first since 2006.
  • The Packers will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games as they head into their Week 10 bye. Green Bay improved to 5-3 on the season with a 24-15 win over Jacksonville this past Sunday at home, its third straight victory and fourth in five games.
  • The Packers have won each of the previous six meetings with the Cardinals at Lambeau Field, including a victory in a 1982 first-round playoff game.
  • Dating back to 1921 when the Cardinals franchise resided in Chicago, this remains one of the oldest rivalries in pro football. Green Bay owns a 44-23-4 advantage in the all-time series, including victories in six of the last seven regular-season meetings between the teams since 1988.
  • This will be the first regular-season meeting between the clubs since they squared off in Arizona in the 2009 finale. The Packers topped the Cardinals, 33-7, to set up a matchup between the teams in Arizona the following Sunday in a Wild Card game.
  • Arizona would emerge victorious in that playoff game, topping Green Bay in overtime, 51-45, in the highest-scoring postseason game in NFL history. The teams combined for 1,024 yards and a playoff-record 13 TDs.
  • The Packers have won 22 of their last 26 regular-season games (.846), the best record in the league over that span.
  • Since 1994, the Packers are 13-5 (.722) in the game heading into the bye. Under Head Coach Mike McCarthy, Green Bay is 4-2 (.667) in the game before its open date on the schedule.
  • This Sunday will be Green Bay's last appearance at Lambeau Field until its Week 13 matchup with Minnesota. The Packers come out of their bye with road contests at Detroit (Week 11) and the N.Y. Giants (Week 12).

HOME COOKING

  • The Packers enter Sunday's game with the Cardinals having won 16 of their last 17 and 22 of their last 24 games at home in the regular season.
  • Green Bay's .917 winning percentage (22-2) at home since Week 10 of 2009 istied for No. 1 in the NFL over that span with Baltimore (22-2).
  • Green Bay's 21-3 mark at home from 2009-11 was the best by the club over a three-year span since it posted the same mark from 2000-02.
  • The Packers have averaged 31.5 points per game at home since 2009, No. 1 in the leagueover that span. Green Bay has posted 30-plus points in 13 of 28 home games since '09 and eight 40-point games.
  • The defense has done its part as well at home since 2009, generating 70 turnovers at Lambeau Field. With Green Bay's offense posting only 30 giveaways over that span, the Packers have a plus-40 turnover ratio at home, No. 1 in the league since '09.

WITH THE CALL

  • FOX Sports, now in its 19th season as an NFL network television partner, will broadcast the game to a regional audience.
  • Play-by-play man Joe Buckand color analystTroy Aikman will have the call from the broadcast booth with Pam Oliver reporting from the sidelines.
  • Milwaukee's WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 53-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee(play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro BowlerLarry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo enters its 14th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 44 markets in six states.
  • Dial Global Sports radio will air the game across the country. Kevin Kugler(play-by-play) and Mark Malone (analyst) will call the action and Scott Graham hosts the pregame and halftime shows.
  • The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 92) as part of the network's NFL Sunday Drive.
  • DIRECTV subscribers can watch the game in HD on Channel 704.

MIKE McCARTHY…Is in seventh year as the Packers' 14th head coach.

  • Joined Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren as the only coaches to guide the Packers to a Super Bowl title with a win over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV.
  • Has led the Packers to playoff appearances in four of his six seasons as the helm, and the team's four postseason berths over the past five seasons are the most by an NFC team.
  • His .652 winning percentage (including playoffs) ranks No. 4 among active NFL coaches (min. 50 games).
  • One of only two coaches, along with New Orleans' Sean Payton, to have his offense ranked in the top 10 in total yardage each season from 2006-11.
  • Was named Packers head coach on Jan. 12, 2006, his first head-coaching job after 13 years as an NFL assistant.
  • Became the first Packers coach since Lombardi to lead the team to a championship game in his second season (2007).

 KEN WHISENHUNT…Is in sixth year as the Cardinals' 34th head coach.

  • Has posted 48 wins in five-plus seasons as head coach, the most in franchise history.
  • Led the Cardinals to NFC West titles in 2008 and 2009, the team's first back-to-back division crowns since 1974-75.
  • Before taking over the Cardinals in 2007, served as an NFL assistant coach for 10 seasons, the last six as tight ends coach (2001-03) and then offensive coordinator (2004-06) with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Played nine seasons as a tight end for three different clubs -- the Atlanta Falcons (1985-88), Washington Redskins (1989-90) and N.Y. Jets (1991-93).

 THE PACKERS-CARDINALS SERIES

  • One of the oldest rivalries in sports, the series launched on Nov. 20, 1921, when the Packers and Chicago Cardinals tied 3-3. That afternoon marked one of four ties in the series, with the last tie coming in 1971.
  • The series has been noted for its streaks, with the Packers winning 15 straight between 1937 and 1946, followed by the Cardinals winning seven straight through 1949, and the Packers winning 15 of the last 19 (with one tie) since.
  • With the Cardinals franchise located in Chicago prior to 1960, the two teams played two or more times in a season 20 different years between 1926 and 1949. 
  • The postseason meeting following the 1982 season marked the Packers' first trip to the playoffs in 10 years and first playoff victory since winning Super Bowl II.
  • In the teams' meeting in Arizona in 2003, the kickoff temperature was 102 degrees, tied for the hottest game ever recorded in Packers history.

  • In a preview of a playoff meeting a week later, the Packers played their starters longer than the Cardinals did and bolted to a 26-0 halftime lead. QB Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of 26 passes for 235 yards, with one TD pass to TE Jermichael Finley and one rushing TD. 
  • CB Charles Woodson had one of three Green Bay interceptions, returning it 45 yards for a TD. The Packers defense also scored via a safety.
  • In the game, the Packers established a single-season franchise record for run defense (83.3 yards per game) and Woodson scored his eighth career defensive TD for Green Bay, also a franchise mark (currently has 10).
  • WR Donald Driver's six catches for 65 yards pushed him over 1,000 receiving yards for a sixth straight season and seventh overall, both franchise records.
