PACKERS VISIT SAN DIEGO FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2003

• Green Bay comes out of its bye with a road contest against the San Diego Chargers this Sunday, the team's first visit to San Diego since 2003 and only its sixth in franchise history.
• The Packers have won five straight games in the series, including a 31-24 victory over the Chargers at Lambeau Field on Sept. 23, 2007, the last meeting between the two franchises.
• Green Bay's .889 overall winning percentage (8-1) in the series is its highest against any NFL opponent.
• The Packers have a 5-0 record all-time at San Diego. Green Bay is one of only two teams in the league (Atlanta, 5-0) to have an undefeated record in San Diego (min. three games).
• Green Bay has a 5-0 record against AFC West clubs under Head Coach Mike McCarthy, the only division that the Packers have an unblemished mark against since 2006.
• The Packers are off to a 7-0 start for the first time since 1962 and only the fifth time in franchise history.
• The four previous 7-0 starts in team history (1929-31, 1962) all resulted in NFL titles for the Packers.
• Green Bay is only the fourth defending Super Bowl champion to start the following season 7-0 (1990 San Francisco 49ers, 1998 Denver Broncos and 2007 Indianapolis Colts).
• Including playoffs, the Packers have won13 straight games, the longest winning streak in team history. That tops the previous mark of 12 games from 1961-62.
• The Packers' streak of nine consecutive wins in the regular season (2010-11) is tied for No. 3 in franchise annals behind only 11-game streaks in 1928-29 and 1961-62.
• This is the second regular-season winning streak of eight or more games during McCarthy's tenure. Green Bay had an eight-game winning streak from 2006-07.
• Under McCarthy, the Packers are 4-1 in the game following their bye. Green Bay has a 30-19 (.612) overall record after the bye since '06.

ROAD WARRIORS

• On Sunday, Green Bay will be looking to get off to just its fourth 4-0 start on the road in the last 70 seasons.
• One of those fast starts came under the guidance of McCarthy, as the Packers also got off to a 4-0 start away from Lambeau Field in 2007. The only other 4-0 road starts over the past 70 seasons came in '62 and '72.
• Including playoffs, the Packers have won seven straight road contests and nine of their last 12. That .750 road winning percentage over that span is tied for No. 1 in the NFL with Atlanta (6-2) and Detroit (6-2).
• Green Bay is one of only three teams in the league with an undefeated road record this season (Detroit, 4-0; San Francisco, 3-0).
• The Packers' string of success away from home will be put to the test this Sunday. The Chargers have won 17 of their last 21 regular-season games at Qualcomm Stadium, an .810 winning percentage that is tied for No. 3 in the NFL over that span.

• FOX Sports, now in its 18th season as an NFL network television partner, will broadcast the game to a regional audience.
• Play-by-play man Thom Brennamanand color analystBrian Billick will have the call from the broadcast booth with Laura Okmin reporting from the sidelines.
• Milwaukee's WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 52-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee(play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro BowlerLarry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo enters its 13th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 43 markets in five states.
• Westwood One radio will air the game across the country. Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) and Mark Malone (analyst) will call the action. Scott Graham hosts pregame and halftime shows.
• The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 85, WTMJ feed) as part of the network's NFL Sunday Drive.
• DIRECTV subscribers can watch the game in HD on Channel 715.

• Having led Green Bay to the playoffs three of his five seasons with the team, he joined Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren as the only coaches to guide the Packers to a Super Bowl title with a win over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV.
• His .714 winning percentage (5-2) in the postseason is tied for first among active NFL head coaches, matching the mark of New England's Bill Belichick (15-6) and Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin (5-2).

THE PACKERS-CHARGERS SERIES

• The two teams have met just nine times in the regular season in a series that dates back to 1970, the year of the AFL-NFL merger.
• The Packers have won five straight and eight of the last nine meetings, including a 5-0 mark in San Diego. Green Bay's only loss in the city came in Super Bowl XXXII to the Denver Broncos.
• Chargers were the hosts for the Packers' first-ever appearance on Monday Night Football, on Oct. 12, 1970. The Packers won, 22-20, on a 14-yard Dale Livingston field goal with 3:39 remaining.
• Their second meeting, in Lambeau Field in 1974, was won by the Packers, 34-0, and became Dan Devine's final victory in his four-year tenure as Green Bay head coach.
• One of the more bizarre contests in Packers history was played in San Diego on Sept. 14, 1978. With a temperature of 102 degrees at kickoff (tied for the highest in Packers history), the teams combined for 18 sacks, including 10 by the Chargers. The Packers also created 11 turnovers - five interceptions (four by Willie Buchanon to tie a league record) and six fumble recoveries - in a 24-3 Green Bay victory.

• Favre threw three TD passes on the afternoon, along with 369 yards on 28-of-45 passing.
• WR Donald Driver led the offense with 126 receiving yards on six catches (21.0 avg.), including a TD grab in the second quarter.
• After Jennings' touchdown put the Packers up by three points, LB Nick Barnett intercepted a Philip Rivers pass and returned it 38 yards to the San Diego 2. RB Brandon Jackson went in from the 1-yard line, putting Green Bay up 31-21.
