The Packers selected LB A.J. Hawk with the 5th pick in the 2006 NFL draft.
Over a two-week period, more than 9,600 Green Bay Packers fans took part in the Packers.com Draft Day Challenge in an attempt to predict the identity of the Packers' first selection in the 2006 NFL Draft.
Of that pool, 5,354 individuals correctly predicted that Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk would be the Packers' first pick.
The correct picks came from all 50 states, including 1,809 from Wisconsin, and 18 countries world-wide (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Columbia, Germany, Denmark, Guatemala, Spain, France, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Rome, Sweden, Thailand, Yugoslavia and the United States.)
From the pool of 5,354 finalists, Packers.com randomly selected three prize winners. They are:
Davon Jackson of Capitol Heights, Maryland, Melissa Colton of West Allis, Wis., and Gabe Munez of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
