Packers Execute Offer Sheet For Spearman

The Green Bay Packers have executed an offer sheet to the Cincinnati Bengals for linebacker Armegis Spearman, a restricted free agent, Packers Vice President of Player Finance Andrew Brandt confirmed Thursday.

The Bengals have seven days in which to match the offer. If they do not, no compensation would be due from the Packers because Spearman, a three-year professional, came into the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2000.

The Packers have no other comments on the matter at this time.

Spearman, a four-year letterman as a collegian at Ole Mis, has played in 22 games over his three pro seasons, with 11 starts. His first name is pronounced 'ar-MEE-gis.'
