PREPARATIONS CONTINUE FOR MARCH 7-8 EVENT
Tickets for the fourth annual Fan Fest are now in the hands of Packers fans planning to attend the popular event, set for March 7-8 at the Lambeau Field Atrium.
More than 1,000 individuals, representing 3,500 tickets, recently received mailings. During the signup period (Jan. 7-23), more than 1,500 individuals submitted applications, accounting for nearly 5,000 requested tickets.
The event includes a Friday kickoff event, player and alumni appearances, main stage presentations, and a tour through the team's locker room. Attendees also will enjoy exciting raffle prizes and hard-to-find G-Force and gameday items at the "garage sale."
Packers players appearing at the two-day event include Donald Driver, Aaron Kampman, Al Harris, Atari Bigby, Nick Collins, Junius Coston, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Ryan Grant, Korey Hall, Cullen Jenkins, James Jones, Ryan Pickett, Brady Poppinga, Koren Robinson, Aaron Rodgers, Jason Spitz and Scott Wells. Packers alumni appearing feature John Brockington, Willie Buchanon, LeRoy Butler, Willie Davis, Antonio Freeman, Bob Harlan, Marco Rivera, Dave Robinson, Frank Winters and Ron Wolf.
On March 7, doors will open at 3 p.m., with a kickoff event at 4 p.m. and programming until 9 p.m. On March 8, Fan Fest doors will open at 8 a.m., with programming from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets include, in addition to entrance to the two-day event, admission to the Packers Hall of Fame and a tour through the Packers locker room. Children 3-and-under enter free and do not require a ticket. Parking for the event is free.
Fan Fest lodging available at Airport Wingate by Wyndham: The first 25 fans who book a two-night hotel package at the Airport Wingate by Wyndham in Green Bay for March 6, 7, 8 or 9, 2008, will receive their room plus two Packer Fan Fest tickets. The package price for two adults is $499 plus tax which includes the two Fan Fest Tickets worth $170. Packages must be prepaid and are nonrefundable. A maximum of three rooms may be booked per person. The Airport Wingate by Wyndham can be called at 920/617-2000 to make reservations.
Fan Fest presenting sponsors are Chevrolet, Goodwill Industries and SecureHorizons. Other sponsors include the Wingate Inn, The Ground Round, Citgo and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
