Packers Foundation seeking grant applicants

The Green Bay Packers Foundation is seeking applications for its annual grant program. The application period is open until Aug. 1, 2012.

Organizations that are classified as exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code and that provide services to Wisconsin residents are eligible to apply for the grant program.

Interested applicants can find more information and complete the application online at www.packers.com/community/packers-foundation.html.

Grants will be reviewed by the Green Bay Packers Foundation Trustees through November 2012. Recipients will be notified in December 2012 with an announcement and awards luncheon to take place in February 2013.

Last year, in its annual distribution of funds, the Foundation awarded $255,145 to 79 civic and charitable groups throughout the state of Wisconsin. With these disbursements, the Foundation has distributed more than $2.5 million for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986.
