The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the World Golf Hall of Fame and Museum, and Bob Hope's Grandson, Zach Hope, celebrated a ribbon-cutting opening of the Hall's new exhibit, *Bob Hope: An American Treasure *on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011.
The exhibit will formally open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, and will continue through January 2012.
The exhibit, located in the Hall's rotating exhibit space, features more than 150 artifacts including Hope's PGA money clip, honorary Oscar statuette, Honorary Veterans Citation and Congressional Gold Medal. More than 200 vintage photos and several video displays will tell the story about Hope's early years as part of an immigrant family in the early 20th century, his rise as a star of stage, screen and radio, the relationships he had with U.S. presidents, his devotion to the U.S. military and his love of golf. The exhibit will also feature Hope's personal Packers jacket.
"The Green Bay Packers are excited to host this exhibit at Lambeau Field in the Packers Hall of Fame," said Mark Murphy, Packers President/CEO. "Bob Hope was a noted sports fan who entertained millions during his career and brought happiness to soldiers across the world. Many Packers fans and other visitors to Lambeau Field have an appreciation for sports other than football and will enjoy the golf highlights of this exhibit, and also have the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for Hope's great legacy."
After extending its showing of Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory exhibit into 2011, the World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum has transformed it into a traveling exhibition with the support of the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation. The Bob Hope: An American Treasure exhibit has begun its five-year tour in the Packers Hall of Fame and following its three-month engagement in Green Bay, will open at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Mich., for a February – June 2012 exhibition.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The day before a game the Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hours may vary on gamedays and holidays.
