The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. today announced that Eddie Lacy will be honored with the Hall's 'Rookie of the Year' award, presented by Ariens, at the 44th Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 19, 2014, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Former players Ahman Green and Ken Ruettgers will become the newest members of the Hall that evening.

Lacy, a second-round (No. 61 overall) 2013 NFL draft pick out of Alabama, burst onto the scene last season, leading all NFL rookies in rushing yards and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by The Associated Press, joining RB John Brockington (1971) as the only Packers to win the award since its inception in 1957. He started all 16 games as a rookie and set franchise rookie records for rushing yards (1,178), rushing TDs (11) and rushing attempts (284) and tied the ream rookie mark for 100-yard rushing games (four). Lacy ranked No. 3 in the NFL with his 11 rushing TDs, behind only Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles and Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (12 each). His 11 TDs on the season were the second-most overall TDs posted by a Green Bay rookie behind only Billy Howton (13 in 1952). He was selected to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, the first Green Bay rookie RB to be named to the all-star game since Brockington in '71.

Tickets for the banquet, which begins with a cash bar at 4:30 p.m., with dinner and program to follow at 7 p.m., are $150 each. Tables of 10 also are available for $1,400 and are assigned in the order in which they are purchased. Early reservations are recommended. To purchase tickets, call Holly Borga at (920) 965-6986, or email her at hollyb@packershalloffame.com. No refunds are available 30 days prior to the event.
